SMS Communication Policy

SMS (Text Message) Communication Policy

At Certified Property Inspectors, we understand that clear and convenient communication is important to our clients, especially when it comes to your home inspection. This policy outlines how we use text messages for non-promotional, informational purposes and how you can manage your text message preferences.

What to Expect: Types of Text Messages We Send (Non-Promotional)

We may use text messages to communicate important information related to your home inspection services, including:

  • Appointment Confirmations and Reminders: Confirming your scheduled inspection date and time, and sending reminders as your appointment approaches.

  • Inspection Status Updates: Notifying you when your inspector is en route, has arrived, or has completed the inspection.

  • Report Delivery Notifications: Alerting you when your inspection report is ready and accessible.

  • Urgent Communications: In rare cases, we may use text messages for urgent matters directly related to your scheduled service (e.g., unexpected delays, access issues).

  • Post-Inspection Follow-up: Brief messages related to your inspection, such as asking for feedback or confirming a final detail.

How to Opt-In to Text Messages

By providing your mobile phone number to Certified Property Inspectors when scheduling an inspection, filling out a contact form where a text message option is clearly presented, or otherwise explicitly consenting to receive text messages from us, you agree to receive non-promotional text messages from Certified Property Inspectors at the provided number.

  • Online Forms: You may see an unchecked box on our website forms (e.g., scheduling request, contact us) allowing you to opt-in to text message updates. Checking this box and submitting the form indicates your consent.

  • Verbal Consent: During a phone call, you may verbally agree to receive text messages for specific updates related to your service. We will document this consent.

Please note: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Message frequency will vary depending on your service needs and the stage of your inspection.

How to Opt-Out of Text Messages

You can opt-out of receiving text messages from us at any time. We make it easy for you to control your communication preferences:

  • Reply "STOP": To stop receiving all text messages from Certified Public Inspectors, simply reply "STOP" to any text message you receive from us. You will receive a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed.

  • Contact Us Directly: You can also contact us by phone at 404-982-7663 or by email at info@cpi-georgia.com to request removal from our text message list. Please specify the mobile number you wish to have removed.

What Happens When You Opt-Out:

If you opt-out of text messages, you will no longer receive text communications from us. This may mean you will miss convenient updates about your inspection, and we will rely on other forms of communication (e.g., email, phone calls) for essential information.

Help and Support

If you need assistance with our text messaging service or have any questions, you can:

  • Reply "HELP": Text "HELP" to any message you receive from us for contact information and assistance.

  • Contact Us: Reach out to us directly at 404-982-7663 or info@cpi-georgia.com.

Important Considerations:

  • No Marketing Texts Without Explicit Consent: We will never send you marketing or promotional text messages without your explicit, separate, and affirmative consent for such communications. This policy specifically addresses non-sales, informational messages.

  • Data Privacy: Your mobile phone number and any information shared via text message will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at [Link to your Privacy Policy]. We will not sell your phone number to third parties.

  • Changes to This Policy: We may update this SMS Communication Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The most current version will always be available on our website.
